    • Identify and manipulate letter sounds

    • Using phonemic awareness to sound out CVC words
    • Example: /c/-/a/-/t/ makes the word cat
  • Reading Fluency
    • Practicing the speed in which one reads
  • Reading Comprehension
    • Practicing retaining the information being read

Math Tutoring

Below are the key math skills I focus on to help young learners excel:

  • Number Sense
    • Understanding numbers 1-100
  • Place Value including Decimals 
  • Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division

  • Geometry and Shapes

Writing Tutoring

Below are the key writing skills I focus on to help young writers succeed:

  • Creative writing
    • Free writing short stories, poetry, limericks, and story mapping
  • Grammar 
    • Punctuation, spacing, and letter formation
  • Vocabulary and spelling 
    • Fun tricks to remember spelling
    • Teaching the "why" behind spelling rules
  • Story sequencing 
    • Putting stories in order from beginning, middle, and end

  • $50 plus 3.49% of your total booking added in the tip section for PayPal service fees.

  • Online via Zoom or in-person in my home in Angier, NC (See my learning space in the picture)

  • Kindergarten - 5th Grade students - Middle and High school students upon request.

*Note: Parents/Guardians will receive a student progress sheet after every lesson in order to track student progress.
